We haven't let either one know about the airplanes, because we like to fly places and don't want them afraid of that mode of transportation. It is such a hard day because I remember watching the news that morning, Tom had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready to go to work, and he came upstairs and said a plane crashed into the WTC so I flipped on the tv. Then we saw the 2nd one on live tv. And told Tom this is serious I don't think you should go downtown. So we stayed home, tried to turn off the tv but couldn't. Luckily PBS ran 24 hours a day the entire week. Everytime I see it I cry, it is so much to bear, I always have a heavy heart, and feel so very grateful to live in America where people are always willing to defend it.Carolinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05617711319073740288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15822615.post-1158081542494771352006-09-12T12:19:00.000-05:002006-09-12T12:19:00.000-05:00I think everyone had a heavy heart yesterday. Did ...I think everyone had a heavy heart yesterday. Did your kids ask any questions? Jordan was in K4, William was 4 days old, and Grace wasn't even here on 9/11. Dave and I were sitting in a Johns Hopkins Hospital with a severely jaundiced William when the event occurred. It didn't even seem real..and to make matters worse we were trapped at the hospital apart from Jordan and my parents when they closed the interstates in Maryland. It was a very scary time.

I guess my second memory about 9/11 was attending the funeral of our friend on the Naval Academy campus. I was moved by how strong his wife was through the whole thing. We (his old friends) were all falling apart, but she had already begun grieving once she received that ring.Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13031770817507568412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15822615.post-1158023855806012442006-09-11T20:17:00.000-05:002006-09-11T20:17:00.000-05:00Ann, thank you for posting all the links.
