sometimes the mundane gets you

OK, I want to commiserate with you. The holidays are here...filled with good cheer...yada, yada, yada. Right? Can you answer these questions below and make me feel better?

1. What does your "to do" list look like right now? Is it never-ending or can you see the light at the end of the tunnel?

2. What is your favorite part of the holidays?

3. If your kids are in school..well, tell me if you remember so much activity and craziness surrounding this last week before the break.

I'm off to the bus stop right now after a busy day at the school and appointments. I'll have to think about my answers. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Here is something to help us all get in the spirit:

Thanks for the music, that was lovely.
Oh, and my to-do list is so long it actually made me cry the other day - I was so overwhelmed.

But it's worth it, right? Because everytime Adayla sees the lights on the tree or in the yard, she says "whoa" in her most amazed little girl voice - which is my favorite thing about Christmas this year: that it is still magical.

After hearing a few stories of how busy the schools are right now, I think there might be value in private Jewish school.

Well, you actually made me laugh with your private Jewish school reference. Sad thing is that they had to celebrate Hanukah on school nights this year. All my friends were really bumming about how it all fell together.

OK, my "to do" list...I sat down to make another one the other day and I just quit midstream. So depressing how much I do not have done. To say I haven't done any of the "extras" this year would be an understatement. Here we are at the last day of school (HOORAY!) and we have party plans tonight, then head to Alabama to be with family on Saturday. We will be back here before the big day. It's just too hard to haul our entire life there....and I'm looking forward to some down time.

But, it's fun...William and Grace are walking around singing barbershop carols in harmony "....fa la la la, you're in trouble...you ain't getting jack, and that's a fact!" So, tis the season for fun at our house I guess. ;-) The list can go away!
