friday night was busy

First Will managed to play a good t-ball game and acquired the "Game Ball" for his hard work.

Then we raced over to our church to attend the tail end of a "TrunkNTreat" celebration. We were in such a hurry that I just put Grace's costume over her ballgame outfit -- jeans and a turtleneck. Looks like the princess managed just fine. Will wore his pirate costume and Jordan was an ipod player. It was a fun preview to Halloween.

Grace kissing Dave in her Snow White outfit.

Jordan's ipod costume...this one is going to be hard to take a photo of for my usual group shot on the steps!

This week has been a little hectic. We survived the wedding last weekend and then on Monday morning Dave's Dad had back surgery. He's beginning to recover, but is still in the hospital. We had expected him to come to our house on Friday, but it looks like he will be here on Sunday.

Is Don staying with you while he recovers? I hope his back is feeling better soon. Tell him hello

Yes, he'll be here until he is feeling better. Dave is on his way home from the hospital with him right now. The physical therapists arrive on our doorstep tomorrow moring. Keep him in your prayers...he is still dealing with a great deal of pain and discomfort from the surgery. I know he'll be happy to be out of the hospital for now. I hope he can cope with our normal household noises.;-) We are looking forward to having him here.

I heard he was in a lot of pain, we will keep him in our prayers. I am sure your household is better than the hospital, he should do just fine.

Hi Ann, Is Jordan going to be the Ipod for halloween? Alia is going as Hannah Montana and her friends are going as the cheetah girls. Fortunately all I have to buy is a blonde wig. She is going to walk around with a microphone and playing Hannah Montana in her radio and singing

Blogger has been freaky all night. That's my excuse for not posting. I just wanted to tell you -- Caroline -- that Jordan saw what Alia's costume choice was and she dropped the ipod costume for her version of Hannah Montana. I broke down and spent $4 on a blonde wig for her today at Walmart. What will Tommy be?

Uncle Don is doing some better, but still has a lot of pain. He doesn't like being sick and would certainly like it better if things got back to normal. We've been busy with physical therapy and trying to figure out the best pain medication schedule this week. He's beginning to regain his appetite and that has helped him look and feel some better. Poor man went through some pretty intense surgery and will have to take his time recovering. So far so good though. Thanks for asking.

Hi Ann, Alia got her wig and we are getting a skirt, she is wearing a pair of jeans with a short skirt over it, with the microphone and singing. Did you get Jordan the Hannah Montana CD and DVD? Tommy is going to be old faithful Spiderman, he has been spiderman for the last 3 years he hates change.

I am glad Uncle Don is feeling better, back surgery sounds like no fun. Can we send a get well card to your house or to his? Tell him we are praying for him

He'll get the card either way, but maybe a little quicker at our address. Email me if you need the exact address. Thanks for asking about him. He seems to be getting better each day.
