just a little snow

This afternoon it began snowing. Not the heavy duty Maryland type snow, but snow nonetheless. The kids were pleased beyond belief. The hope that maybe school would be cancelled tomorrow. We actually made it to midweek services tonight and then they got to have a snowball fight with their friends there. No matter what happens tomorrow I think tonight was a good one. To be honest, I really didn't want to drag out in the mess. Dave is in Seattle and I am a one woman show this week. I'm glad I went. Nothing like a little good fellowship and a snowbattle.

Basement update: The tile floor is done! I cannot believe the amount of work that has been done in just a few days. By Friday I hope to have all the drywall and painting finished. Then we have a six week wait for the cabinets. It's so exciting to see it come together after the mess.

We are suppose to get snow too. We never cancel school for a little bit of snow. So maybe your kids will get lucky

Nobody here knows how to drive in winter weather since 70 degrees is not unusual on even a winter day.Ice is more a risk for tomorrow morning than anything.

UPDATE: School WAS NOT cancelled in our county. Counties all around (Including Beth's county, Caroline) were closed. The kids were really bummed.

It is a bummer, we never cancel. Even at church we have a the 20/20 rule, 20 inches of snow at one time or 20 below and that is air temperature not wind chill. That is what our pastor says.

Snow in Atlanta, what will they think of next? We are supposed to get freezing rain tonight - do barometer drops actually induce labor or is that a myth?
