the school year begins

These pictures are from our Back to School morning. Jordan headed off on the bus to 4th grade and William began his first day of Pre-K. No tears and mostly smiles. It was a good morning. William commented on the way to school that he was very happy.

Boy has William grown!! All of your kid's look great. Good luck with the new school year. This is the start of our 2nd week and the kids are starting to drag a little. Emily had a very "weepy" morning.

Enjoy you one on one time with Grace. Before you know it she will be off to school too.

Wow, when did William grow up!!! He is so big and handsome. Great pictures. Ashley starts school on September 6th. We are anxiously (or should I say she is anxiously) waiting for the school supply list and her teacher!!! Hope their first day goes well.

My two messy monsters started school Monday- Emma has two boyfriends already! I remember when these kids were babies and now they are growing up into big kids.

Caroline - I noticed that you got out later than us last spring. When is your spring break this year?

Beth - I didn't realize that your county started last week. How is Tyler enjoying 4th grade? We are still in the startup phase with Jordan's new teacher. This is a new experience for us having someone with just five years teaching experience. I hope this is a strong year anyway. Dave and I have been biting our nails trying to see how it will all work out.

Oh yes, William has grown three inches since May. Our grocery bill has increased significantly.

Julie - How does the deadline work in Texas? Does Dylan start K4/pre-k this year or did he fall into the kindergarten group? William is absolutely loving school. He got to hold the flag on the first day during the pledge of allegiance.

Sue - I think William will surpass Jordan in height soon. Jordan will not admit that yet since she likes to be queen in control of the sibling situation. Does Ashley start 5th grade this year?

Jenn - Emma is absolutely growing up...I saw her birthday photo the other day and could not believe how she had changed. Did she have a wonderful birthday? I've been thinking about you a lot lately. Are you recovering from your surgery? Still on half days?

Ann, Ashley does start 5th grade this year and is all excited. She gets a locker and has a different teacher for each subject. I'm not sure I'm as excited for all this be happening as she is. She is growing up too fast!!! How did the first day go? I guess the most important question is, do they want to go back!! LOL.

Ann, Our spring break this year is March 26- April 2nd. We go to a private school so some dates are different. We got out before all the other schools though they went another 1 1/2 weeks before they got out.

I must say our grocery bill has increased dramatically since Tommy started eating more. Tommy is not picky, Alia is our picky one, everything is yucky. We couldn't figure it out for the longest time, then we realized what was happening.
